Glad You Asked

Did you ever have one of those “I’ve just got to share this!” moments but there was no one there to share it with? That happened to me this morning.

Three times.

First I made one of my clean-out-the-refrigerator green smoothies:

several romaine lettuce leaves (half the blender)
one half cantaloupe
one cup fresh basil leaves
about a cup filtered water or coconut water
one previously peeled, sliced and frozen banana

Blend, sprinkle with hemp seed and cacao nibs and enjoy. I just had to share that with you because it was so delicious and it only took five minutes.

Then I received an email through my Conscious Bite Contact form. I know, it sounds like a hotline, doesn’t it? HELP!!!!!!!!! I just ate a whole bag of potato chips and I wasn’t CONSCIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ha, ha, that’s not really what I hear. I get very good questions. Thoughtful questions. Questions from women who struggle with the same food issues and have no idea that they are not alone.

This morning I found this message waiting expectantly in my inbox:

Dearest Sue Ann,

I’ve heard SO much about you. All good.

I’ve read every nutrition book, I’ve cut crap out of my diet, only to slide back. I’ve lost and gained and lost and gained – time and again. I’m 41 and I have a successful business, but my body has suffered for it. I want so much to feel at ease in my body and really nourish myself – to listen to my body AND continue to experience success. But I always end up straying toward the detox, green smoothie, eat 80% raw vegetables, then only eat meat…. only to end up in a mindless stupor of eating chips and cupcakes. UGH!

you get the picture.

Am I a good candidate for your Inner Circle? What say you?

First, I must tell you. I love these notes. I fall in love with the women writing them.

every single time

Pretty soon I’m typing away (with two fingers) telling her YES and as I’m typing, I see my words telling a story that I feel compelled to share with ALL of you because you (we) are not alone out there. Here is my response and if YOU have a question about my Well Nourished Woman Inner Circle program, please, ask away!

Am I a good candidate for your Well Nourished Woman Inner Circle? What say you?

Oh my goodness, YES! I say YES. Your story is OUR story, not just your story, OUR story.

ALL women.

Just about every intelligent woman I know has a shelf (perhaps a bookcase) full of diet and nutrition prescriptions and promises.

And that is exactly what we need to fully understand and reject, the very thing that keeps us trapped in this cycle: “outward looking”.

(Look out! There’s another perfect nutritional system coming your way. . . and sometimes, it doesn’t even involve food.)

Outward looking keeps us from acquainting ourselves with a deeper wisdom, body wisdom. It keeps us from stepping out of fear and saying hello to “trust.” It keeps us from enjoying the lusciousness of the food on our plate because, for so long, we have traded out one food group for another, the “good list, bad list quandary.”

We are going to have fun blasting through these myths, laughing (Yes, LAUGHING) at the methods we’ve engaged in to wrestle our bodies into whatever size or shape we needed to “find” at the time.

And then, we are going to go back to food.

Sensuous, sumptuous, satisfying food

If you can swing it, opt for the “Delicious Duo” package so that we can have some one-on-one time together.

Thanks for reaching out. I’m happy to answer any and all of your questions.

Warmly,

Sue Ann

Do YOU have a question for me about my Inner Circle or anything else? Ask away. I’m all yours.

Hi Sue Ann, This green smoothie recipe looks delicious. I look forward to adding it to my repertoire (before I can no longer get a decent cantaloupe).

    Thanks!

Sue Ann, your gorgeous food photos are reason enough to get off the good/bad roller coaster (which I held a season ticket to for a long time), but your “this is our story” way of helping people is the main reason I adore your posts… wisdom with a smile and a hug. xo
