We all know how important it is to move our bodies in ways that bring us pure joy. Erin Stutland, lifestyle and fitness coach extraordinaire, is gifting us with one of her “shrink sessions.”
Combining cardio-dance, yoga grooves and mantras that you say OUT LOUD while you’re moving, Shrink Session™ allows you to to sweat your way into your most powerful self while sending a new message of love, gratitude and joy to every cell of your body.
The best part? It’s right here in our membership site so we can set aside a time each week to do this together!
If you loved this workout, Erin has many more! Check them out HERE.
Throughout this twelve week journey we will be looking at at ways to restore and replenish. The one practice I resisted for most of my adult life was yoga. First, I had all these stories about yoga: It’s just a little too “trendy.” Yoga postures feel awkward; surely I’ll pull a muscle. I might have to visit Lululemon to get the right apparel. It doesn’t make me SWEAT.
Oh my. So many stories.
And then I met Marianne.
I realized that I had been denying my body (and my exhausted adrenals) the one practice that had the most potential to help me restore and replenish.
On this page you’ll find three sample practices: Yoga for Bloggers (that’s me!), Yoga for Beginners, (um, that’s me, too.) and Busy Yoga (hmm).
Use these clips to activate your parasympathetic nervous system. You may just find you start breathing easier and sleeping more deeply.
Marianne Elliott, the author of Zen Under Fire, is a writer, a yoga teacher and a human rights consultant. Her book stirred me on so many levels. You can read a beautiful review of the book right here. Meanwhile, here is a quote from the book that beautifully embodies our journey into the life of a well-nourished woman.
I want to be a source of compassion, kindness and peace in the world and I can start by
offering compassion, kindness and peace to myself.

Fast and furious, or super SLOW. . .
I’d like to share with you an interview I conducted with my personal trainer, Tim Rankin. I’ve been working with Tim for over a decade. Before I found SuperSlow© I was on the excessive exercise plan. I truly believed MORE was better.
I also exercised to give myself permission to eat. A set of life circumstances led me to Tim and the concept of SuperSlow©. I thank the universe for that. What I love about this guy is that he is NOT a celebrity but he is one of the most thoughtful and well-educated fitness instructors I’ve met.
Tim Rankin earned an Engineering Degree from Virginia Tech and spent 12 years in the corporate world. That’s where he learned how NOT to be healthy. After years of restaurant meals, intermittent and random exercise, and a lot of business stress, Tim realized he needed to make some significant lifestyle changes. Through careful research, he discovered SuperSlow© weight training and healthy eating habits. He quickly got into the best shape of his life.
I think you’ll find this interview fascinating: Fast & Furious or SuperSlow with Tim Rankin.
