I remember Mum making the best pancakes in the world, four piles, with sugar sprinkled on top. Mum serving evening tea while we are all eating hot banana and ham sandwiches with melting cheese straight from the oven. And, if we were lucky, Dad would bring out the old film projector and the whole family would sit and joy watching still films from summers past. I remember eating my first ever hamburger at Wimpy´s in Helsinki as a birthday present from my new big sister, Wendy, an exchange student who stayed with us for a year. These and many, many more food memories are pouring out on the blank papers of my green journal. I can almost not stop writing.
